Hyatt Place Phoenix / Downtown

Hyatt Place Phoenix / Downtown

8/10 Good
"Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean only problem was the water pressure in shower was very low. The bar was great! Stopped there first before heading out for the night. The starbucks coffee was a life saver because the buffette coffee wasn’t great. Food was good especially the breakfast potatoes. It was a bit busy and we did have to wait a bit for items to come out(eggs, sausage and forks). Overall we did enjoy our stay. It was a good location for our trip."

10/10 Excellent
"The room was comfortable and roomy. The Blue Hound was wonderful. The food and staff were fantastic. Our one bad experience was getting our car from valet. It appeared that it was parked under a rusty dripping pipe. The front part of our car (2023 Acura MDX) was very dirty, most likely from a dust storm. But there was a large brown rusty spot and drips down the hood. This was unacceptable. We valet the car to keep things like this from happening. The staff was very understanding and worked diligently to clean the hood and front windshield the best they could. With some effort the rusty brown spot was removed but the drips down the side were not. We would definitely stay at the Kimpton again but would think twice before using the valet services."

"The hotel and staff are excellent and a great value for the quality of the hotel and it's very central location. The one negative is the parking situation, which is in a lot across the street from the hotel. Normally, that's pretty standard and would not be an issue but in the 113 degree heat during my stay, it would have been nice to have underground parking or put up some kind of shade awnings or more permanent shade coverings in the lot. Obviously, the hotel is NOT responsible for the heat of Phoenix, and the swimming pool was extremely spacious and well received. Overall, an excellent value and Phoenix is just an extremely hot place which could use more shaded parking, that's all. I would definitely st there again."

"Urban type hotel with a very nice atmosphere. amenities provided but it is a self help located in designated area per floor. For those who are expecting a spacious room, it is not. They do provide 1 drink per guest at time of registration. Highly recommend valet parking to be sure you vehicle stays on property. Walk to Chase Field was under 10 minutes. Definitely will be a returning guest."
