Terrible!!!!!!

The first night that we checked in the two young women at the front desk to check the sand same bothered that I interrupted their conversation by checking in horrible customer service skills the second night I had to go to the customer service desk to ask about how to get more coffee cups, and towel towels. The lady that was working the desk told me to go upstairs find my room number and come back down and tell her the room number before she can do anything she was standing right in front of the computer rude I asked her to look in a computer. She just looked at me. I reached hotel management that same night and explained to them what happened and I don’t know what the response was because no one has contacted me. These women have no customer service skills are very rude or maybe it’s just they were rude to me. I didn’t like it because I’m a paying customer. I wasn’t a bother at the hotel at All or wasn’t mean a route to anyone all I did was ask a question and check in, but I won’t go back here not to stay or gamble and I really don’t recommend it to anyone else.

This resort was everything I imagined it to be. Room was beautiful, view of the mountain outstanding, spa was great, staff was amazing. I will be back.

During our stay, the golf course and Tavern were both undergoing maintenance. At check-in, we were told our stay included two drink vouchers for the Tavern, but that it would not reopen until the day of our departure. We were also told the golf course would reopen that same day. In addition, construction/maintenance was being done at the main entryway to our room. Our check-in clerk did not offer any accommodations for the inconvenience and rushed through the process. When we asked what other amenities were available, she directed us to the concierge. We explained that we understood maintenance was necessary, but questioned why no compensatory offers had been made given that major amenities were unavailable. The concierge then offered two drink vouchers for the lobby bar, a welcome prickly pear iced tea, and complimentary parking for our stay. That is the type of service we expect from a property like The Phoenician. Unfortunately, the check-in experience was negative. When major amenities are unavailable, compensatory options should be proactively offered at check-in rather than requiring guests to ask. While maintenance is understandable, simple gestures such as complimentary drinks, snacks, parking, or other amenities should be offered when the guest experience is impacted. We expect to travel to the Scottsdale area frequently now that our daughter has moved there for school, but this experience may lead us to consider other options in the future.
