Danesfield House Hotel And Spa

Danesfield House Hotel And Spa

8/10 Good
"BEAUTIFUL grounds and main hotel areas, super helpful and welcoming staff. The room itself had basic amenities, and smelt like it was an ex- smokers room. May just be that the soft furnishings needed replacing. The room was dated and needed an upgrade. It would have been good to have a safe in the room too. Everything else about the hotel was wonderful and it was a shame it was only a fleeting visit. Slightly overpriced considering the room itself."

What are the most important historical places and other sights in Caversham?
Favourite places to visit include Thames Path, Chiltern Hills and River Thames. Additionally, you'll find LEGOLAND® Windsor in the area.
What is a historic hotel like in Caversham?
By choosing a historic hotel, you can spend a night or two someplace that has an official historic designation. A palace, castle, stately home or even a lodge, pub or skyscraper can be turned into a historic hotel provided that it's of special interest. Traditional architecture and period features are typically preserved in the public spaces and guestrooms of historic hotels in Caversham, giving a real sense of character.
What is the difference between a historic hotel and a heritage hotel?
The two are similar. The term "historic hotel" is more common in the U.S., whereas "heritage hotel" is common in Asia and Europe. Historic hotels tend to place more significance on the architecture and actual building. A heritage hotel draws meaning mainly from the cultural value that the place has and how it inspired the community.
Do historic hotels in Caversham have modern facilities?
Yes. Every effort is made to preserve the historic aspects and traditions, but interiors include modern conveniences and safety features. Guests can expect the amenities you'd find in a hotel such as private rooms with updated bathroom facilities, heating and air conditioning, and free and fast Internet. In Caversham, booking a historic hotel doesn't mean you're choosing a place that's rundown.
