"The views from this hotel were breathtaking. The property and rooms are so much better in person then online.. Breakfast was delicious, and especially good on the back patio in the morning sun. We ate at the restaurant all 3 nights we were there. The rotating specials menu had something great every night. The staff were all super attentive and the experience was one of our best during our trip to Italy. Highly recommend this property. Also, it is close to Siena and other amazing small towns for quick afternoon trips! "

"The place was beautiful and such a nice retreat. The beds were probably the best in my opinion that I experienced in Italy. Staff were excellent and helpful. It was an easy walk into the village and access shops and restaurants. The venue is advertised as an agritourismo, but I didn't experience that there actually any production on site, but rather offered products from the region. The restaurant was quite expensive and overall I was challenged in trying to rationalize the pricing."

"We had a lovely 10 days at Casa del Fico, enjoying the breathtaking view from the garden in April with all the flowers beginning to bloom. The house itself was beautifully decorated in the Tuscan style, and comfortable for our group of 5. It was the perfect base from which to explore all the neighboring towns: Siena, Greve, Radda in Chianti, Pienza, San Gimignano, Montepulciano, and of course Castellina in Chianti, the nearest village. Our favorite restaurant in Castellina was La Torre. And our favorate local wine was from the nearby vineyard of Lilliano. "

"A beautiful place in the heart of Chianti. Definitely off the beaten path, so need a vehicle to get there. Close to good wineries. Castellini in Chianti was a quaint village to shop at and eat in. Pool was nice, but wasn’t heated, so couldn’t take advantage of it in late April. Dinner with Serena was worth it."
