The Space
A large detached property, boasting one of the best views in the stunning town of Laugharne.

Located down a quiet street, with fully enclosed grounds and off street parking, this is a rare find and is perfectly suited to large families getting together, or two families wanting a break.

Bedrooms
On the first floor there are four spacious bedrooms, with two of these being King Size bedrooms adjoining each other via wooden double doors, both with Sea Views, perfect as a family suite. There is an additional King size room with a zip and link bed (can be separated to two small singles upon request), as well as a further double bedroom. All bedrooms have sinks.

There is also a double and twin bedroom on the top floor. The staircase to the top floor has a restricted ceiling height, and a lower than average ceiling height on the top floor (approx 180cm)

Bathrooms
There is a modern ground floor shower room off the snug, perfect for jumping straight in after a day at the beach or a muddy walk.

There is also a shower room on the first floor, and an additional bathroom located on the top floor.

Kitchen and Dining

There is a large open plan kitchen dining and living space, perfect for families to entertain and relax. The space is bright, and has french doors leading to the garden, as well as access to the conservatory.

The kitchen is well equipped, with all mod cons and a range style electric oven, larder fridge and dishwasher.

Living spaces

There is a large sofa in the open plan sitting room with a 50 inch SMART TV, perfect for family gatherings. There is a log burner for those cosy Winter evenings.

There is a gorgeous Sun room with breathtaking views of the Taf Estuary, perfect for a Summer evening watching.

There is an additional snug with log burner to relax with a book and a glass of your favourite tipple.

Utility Room

There is a washing machine and dryer as well as a freezer located in the utility. Also a perfect place to throw down your beach gear or muddy boots.

Garden and Parking
Through the double gates you will drive into a gravelled car parking area, ample for 4 cars. The parking area opens to the terrace area outside of the conservatory and kitchen with an entertaining area with steps down to a large lawned area. All fully enclosed with uncompromised views. From Spring to Autumn there will be outdoor seating and BBQ available for use.

The large private car park at the side of the property through double gates contains enough space for at least 4 cars.

The Local Area

Laugharne is perhaps best known for its associations with Wales' most famous poet, Dylan Thomas, however, there is much more to Laugharne than just Dylan Thomas.

Laugharne is a small town sitting on the estuary of the Taf River and offers stunning estuary walks, including the infamous Dylan Thomas Birthday Walk. There are also plenty of woodland walks and the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path starts nearby.

It is an ancient town steeped in history, and a popular tourist destination with many great attractions in the area. With its easy accessibility to the M4, and prime location, also makes it a great base to visit Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire.

The Boathouse, where Dylan and Caitlin lived with their children, is now a heritage centre. Overlooking the estuary are the dramatic ruins of a Norman Castle, a popular visitor attraction. Laugharne has a good choice of cafes and restaurants.

There are also a good choice of outdoor activities available in the area, ranging from horse riding, coasteering, to a variety of water sports, abseiling, orienteering, caving and gorge walking.

There are many beautiful rugged beaches in Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire, along with the more popular coastal resorts of Pendine, Saundersfoot and Tenby. Pendine is a short 5 minute drive away and boasts miles of golden sand.

There is an abundance of interesting attractions locally, including Castles, historic houses and National Botanical Gardens to name a few.

For the younger generation we are a short drive away from the likes of Folly Farm, Oakwood, Manor House Wildlife Park, Heatherton World of Activities and Dinosaur Park to name a few.

If you are a "foodie" then there is a fantastic choice of restaurants within a 20 - 30 minute's drive ranging from Coast in Coppet Hall to Y Polyn, just 5 minutes from Carmarthen.

It’s the perfect place to get away from it all…

-Pet fee per stay - Payable during the pre-check in process :
1 Dog - £25
2 Dogs - £40

lovely family house
this is a very comfortable family house with wonderful views over Camarthen Bay . A spacious garden room that means you can sit and enjoy watching the weather coming in from the sea. Sadly the weather was very Welsh and we had rain everyday but the large living dining kitchen meant we could enjoy being together. The house is opposite Dylan Thomas's house but that didn

Family New Years Eve Break
Fantastic property in a fabulous location. Perfect for a family holiday. Accommodation has the old fashioned cottage appeal but with all the mod cons. Close to several sites of natural beauty. Don't miss out on the local pubs. we will be visiting again.

Wonderful Wales
The Cottage was the perfect family house for the 12 of us ranging from 10 to 75 years. We loved the amazing views from the sun room and garden. It was an ideal location to base ourselves with beautiful beaches, walks and lots of things to do close by. The house was clean and very well kept, Great Welsh Escapes were responsive and quick to reply to any questions and kept in touch through out the stay. We had a fabulous Family Holiday and would definitely recommend this property.
