A new young couple has taken over the B&B and are doing a great job. They have a lot of plans for improvement and to take advantage of the beautiful scenery and quiet beauty of the countryside. A little difficult to find but a country gem.

There is a great range of activities on offer for visitors to County Carlow, and booking an adventure sport hotel online will give outdoor types the chance to sample those of their choice, in the wonderful countryside of this part of south-east Ireland.
The River Barrow is renowned for the quality of both its coarse and game fishing, offering a huge variety of fish for anglers can attempt to land, including bream, perch, pike, trout, both brown and white, as well as plump salmon. The river has a number of locations ideally suited for brown trout fishing.
The abundance of brown trout in the Barrow, its tributaries, the Greese and Lerr and the nearby River Burrin attract anglers from miles around, with some fish caught here in the past weighing more than 20 pounds.
The weirs, waterfalls and white waters of the River Barrow are a great attraction for canoeists and kayakers. There are professional companies with qualified guides on hand, such as the Go-With-The-Flow River Adventures, where visitors with little or no experience can enjoy the thrills of fast water sport in safety.
Cycling is another great attraction in the area, and adventure sport hotels can provide hire or loans of bikes for a great day out. The most popular area is along the towpath along the Barrow Valley, with drop-off and pick-up services available from rental companies. The area also offers some superb dining experiences for tired cyclists, to fill up and rest their legs.
The landscape is also popular with equestrians, with the undulations, twists and turns offering much for horse riders to enjoy. There are also stables offering riding lessons for both adults and children, with indoor and outdoor arenas or cross country courses to be enjoyed.
As well as seeing the country from horseback, walking is another popular way to enjoy the landscape of County Carlow. Either setting out on a walk from a hotel or travelling to a starting point, visitors will have a wealth of different walks at their fingertips. The Blackstairs Mountains offer eco trails that explain the wildlife and habitat of this wonderful county. The biodiversity of the area is fascinating to explore, with so much natural beauty to be found even during a short break.
Golf is a very popular activity in the area with many courses to choose from. Most are set in parkland with woodland, packed with diverse and mature trees to enhance the views. These range from championship level to pitch and put for beginners. The range of courses in the area is so wide that no two golfing days are the same.
Wherever visitors choose to stay for an adventure sport holiday at a hotel in County Carlow, they can be assured of a warm welcome, either in budget accommodation or in four star luxury. Staff are both helpful and knowledgeable about the area, to offer outdoor holiday enthusiasts the best possible stay in a region that has so much to offer visitors.
