"This is a lovely place with lots of character. We ate at the restaurant in the evening and the food was great then and the breakfast was also great the following morning. Sitting by the open fire after dinner was so nice, especially as it was rainy outside. Every member of staff we spoke too was very helpful and all around lovely. We arrived in the dark and there wasn’t much signage so it was a bit confusing making sure we were in the right place but it wasn’t too difficult to figure out. The grounds looked lovely the next day too. I’d definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. "

"Excellent hotel. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Only thing we didn’t like, was the over powering air freshener that hits you as soon as you enter the building. It’s turned up too high. I guess there could be worse smells, but we found it very unpleasant. I guess it stops you eating too much at breakfast, as you can’t wait to get away from the floral smell!!"
