Blessed with a seemingly never-ending collection of friendly towns and world-class beaches, Cornwall is an excellent holiday destination for those travelling with kids. When the weather turns, though, there's still plenty for the young ones to do. Cornwall's Crealy Adventure Park is a fun-packed attraction that's sure to keep your youngsters entertained all day long. What's more there are plenty of hotels in the surrounding area, meaning visiting couldn't be easier.
Covering All the Bases
Whether your kids are all about the action, or prefer to meet and learn about exotic animal species, you can be sure that Cornwall's Crealy Adventure Park has something to offer. With more than 40 rides and attractions, there really is plenty to choose from.
Highlights at Cornwall's Crealy Adventure Park include the Downpour Derby (great for hot summer afternoons), Swampbuster's Eco-Adventure (great for learning), and the Dragon's Kingdom Playzone, which is particularly popular with younger visitors.
The adventure park also boasts plenty of practical facilities, including baby-changing facilities and multiple cafés. As dogs are no longer allowed in the park due to the large number of vulnerable animal species kept in the zoo, dog owners will be glad of the nearby day kennels.
Staying near the Park
Hotels in Cornwall are typically friendly, welcoming places, and those in the area surrounding Cornwall's Crealy Adventure Park are no exception. The Adventure Park is located in Tredinnick, near Wadebridge, on the county's north coast.
The Halfway House Inn is close to Cornwall's Crealy Adventure Park, but it also offers superb access to attractions all over Cornwall, thanks to its proximity to the A39. On-site facilities are impressive, with a pool table, arcade room and free breakfast.
In Wadebridge itself, the Bridge On Wool hotel offers access to a broad selection of independent shops, bars and restaurants. Guests enjoy private bathrooms, flat screen TVs and iPod docking stations.
No visit to Cornwall would be complete without sampling its exquisite beaches. Fortunately, there are plenty within a short distance of Cornwall's Crealy Adventure Park. The famous Constantine Bay is nearby, providing a long stretch of clean sand and some great surf. Harlyn Bay and Mawgan Porth offer more intimate beaches in the area.
