THIS IS A GREAT HOTEL, THE OLDEST HOTEL IN THE CITY, ABOUT A MILE AWAY FROM CENTRAL TRAIN STATION. EASY SMOOTH CHECK IN,WOULD DEFINATELY STAY HERE AGAIN

Spectacular art nouveau Hotel
Marvelous historic design hotel close to edge of old town. Many original features remain with considerate restoration to return to former glory. Restaurant and bar run together and recently renovated. Grand design, but somehow soulless. Maybe the lighting ?

The entrance and reception area are very nice. The room was very basic, the bin had not been emptied from the previous guests. Definitely not a 4 star hotel.

First rate.
I have stayed before in this very old hotel full of character. It's warm and welcoming just like the staff. Yesterday was full of famous Polish entertainers who obviously know the best hotels all over Europe.

Pleasant Stay with Good WiFi
Very comfortable bed, although the bedding could have been a bit larger being 6ft+. Ornate yet functional hotel with good wifi. Walking distance to Stary Rynek for bars and restaurants. I never got a chance to go, but the Sauna looked really good.

Beautiful Hotel
Pod Orlum is a beautiful hotel. It has an ornate early 20th century feel about it which is very neat. The room was clean, the food was great, and the staff was very friendly. In early June the weather was getting pretty warm and my room was not air conditioned so it was very warm night and day. Temperature in the room fluctuated between 24-28C, even with the windows open, making it very hard to stay asleep at night. I requested a fan from the front desk and it helped a little but I still woke up drenched and tired. I realize that AC would be an expensive investment but it would go a long way to the overall comfort of the room.

A very elegant and stylish older hotel.
This was my first time in Bydgoszcz. The hotel is in the perfect location to wander around the city centre and admire everything. There is a beautiful park just a short walk away, as well.

Huge Let Down
Arrived a little early was told to wait, which was not a problem. We booked a room on a high floor and that's what we got, however when we looked around the room it was only set up for one person. There was only one towel and one set of toiletries, it was corrected as soon as we told them though. This hotel used to be the place to be seen years ago, but now it's gone down hill and looking very tired. We were looking forward to breakfast, because it was known for it's food. What a huge let down the only thing that was ok was the bread! Everything else was dried up or empty and nothing was replenished or cleaned. We will not be staying at this hotel in the future.

In general stay at the apartment was excellent. It seedms like air-conditioner was out of order but ventilator was available so I didn't have any problem during one night stay.

Very beautiful hotel.....staff friendly and efficient. Excellent breakfast. Only downside was lack of air-con as very hot weather but didnt spoil our stay. Would recommend staying here as very central

Lovely hotel with friendly staff, nicely located. The breakfast was excellent. Our room was at the front of the hotel and we found the noise from outside (and the tram) disturbed our sleep. Also the pillows weren't great. We would happily stay there again.

Old fashioned hotel close to town centre
Reception staff very helpful & friendly. Booked into a single room on the 3rd, floor which was clean with TV, mini bar and tea/coffee making facilities. All OK but the view from this particular room was looking out over the roof tops of some dingy buildings next door to the hotel. Breakfast was good with a wide range of things to eat. Have used this hotel before and would still stay there again, but maybe pay a little extra for a superior room when available, which has more space and a bigger bed.

Beautiful building and great staff!
Pod Orlem is a beautiful hotel with outstanding staff. My only complaint is that due to the age of the building, there is no individual temperature control in guest rooms.
