If you fancy a historical stroll then follow the sign from beside the Lion Hotel which leads to the site of Builth Castle which was once a mighty Edwardian fortress. Although all that's left is a series of mounds, ditches and earthworks the views of the town and river are fantastic and provide a tranquil alternative to the high street down in the town below.
