"The hut looked really shabby from the outside but, thankfully, it was better inside. The kitchen was reasonably well equipped but there were no towels or tea-towels, dishcloths etc. and no tea, coffee etc. The bed linen wasn’t great, with stains and burn marks on the duvet cover. The mattress was stained. As a one night stop-over on a bike ride it was OK, just."

"The location was good. To find the lodge was extremely difficult as the lodges were not numbered in numerical order. The warden just pointed in the general direction to where the lodge was situated.The parking was very tight due to over grown hedges.The lodge was in very poor condition...certainly not "luxury"as the advert said. It did NOT have the dishwasher, washing machine or dryer as in the listing. It did have an ironing board but no cover for it! There was black mould in the shower...

Rosemary (host) came over on our arrival and went through everything we needed to know.Kitchen fabulous with everything we needed and more.
