"Nice clean rooms . Perfect location for the town centre and castle venue . We went to a concert. Downside . No climate control rooms were hot so windows open .. traffic and public noise. Nice balconies. No actual hotel facilities as it is an annex of the George hotel across the street. "

Everything for an overnight stay, coffee on the terrace, good evening meal in the restaurant and a lovely pre-breakfast swim in quite a large swimming pool with sauna and jacuzzi available. "Lovely old property, lots of character and charm. Staff are friendly and welcoming, some I feel are under pressure from senior management, It feels like they are short staffed. Which adds pressure to the rest. But they cope with a smile. Be nice to see more staff which would definitely increase the customer experience and enjoyment. Word of mouth is the biggest compliment to any business. Thank you to all the staff on the front line."
