"It was really special to experience a fisherman’s cottage in a genuine fishing village. Could not have been better than in the home of Cullen Skink. As you would imagine it’s very compact and very homely. It was lovely to listen to the ocean at night and see all the bird life. You aren’t very far from the ocean even if you’re not in the front row. It’s clean, warm and comfortable. Could do with a cheese grater."

"What a contrast to my last hotel (Balmoral Lodge, Southport ). St Michael's was everything I want from a B&B and more. Beautiful vintage furniture, period features, immaculately clean, lovely owner, great atmosphere. "Nice staff, a lot of information provided. Off street parking is just next to the hotel. Lidl’s within short walking distance. Rooms and the building itself are little tired. Bathroom was a tiny one, but everything worked fine (except the extractor fan). Decorating was little outdated. But if you are looking for affordable stay overnight or few nights stay, then I would recommend it."

"This is our second stay at the Firth Hotel and really enjoyed it again. The rates are very competitive and cheerful as well as not breaking the bank are massive pluses. The rooms are clean, lovely sea view, very quiet, staff make check in easy. It's peaceful and a lovely staycation destination. Rooms despite being budget have a fan and a fridge as well as hairdryer, iron and decent pillows. The Smugglers bar is not far away with comfy seats and friendly locals and reasonable drink and food prices. For the price we paid, thought it was good value, good accommodation, good location, good staff and good experience. Will be back and thanks for having us."

"Welcomed by very friendly staff at reception. Beautiful setting and views from the restaurant and bar. Beach is directly opposite and the town is a short walk away. Twin room was a little small and as the weather was unusually warm, it felt a bit stuffy but it was very clean and towels changed each day. We had breakfast both mornings and also had lunch one day and dinner. All the food was great and the service was excellent. Would definitely return but would pay a bit extra for a sea facing room."

"The cottage was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The view is just stunning - watching the sunset was incredible and we were lucky enough to see dolphins twice. The telescope was a fantastic bonus. We have fallen in love with Findochty and Cullen so we have every intention of coming back! Thank you so much it’s a lovely property."

"Lovely place to stay ,we were in area for a weekend,staff and facilities restaurant brilliant ,breakfast amazing also , highly recommended,we will stay here again . Nothing a problem for the staff ,we had dog with us and room we had number 11 was perfect for taking dog out at night and in morning next to a wood ."
