10/10 Excellent
"Great little inn over the river from the main part of Shrewsbury so much quieter. Easy walking into town just over the bridge. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Nepalese restaurant as part of the premises. Good food at a reasonable price. Onsite parking is a bonus."
Lion and Pheasant Hotel

"The room was sparklingly clean and the beds (twin room) were very comfortable. Plenty of space to hang clothes and we appreciated the iron and ironing board in the wardrobe. As it was unseasonably warm we had the windows open but because we were right by the road we had to use the earplugs thoughtfully provided. The second night we used the fan as it was quieter. The buffet breakfast had plenty of choice and the full English was ok, although the cheap sausages let it down. Overall I would definitely stay there again. It was so convenient for the town (if you’re ok with a bit of an hill) and the river walk."

"We had a twin room, which was on the top floor. Although the bathroom was private, it was small and across the landing, which was a tad inconvenient in the middle of the night. The bedroom was noisy and very light, even with the curtains closed. We expected to hear noise from the pub underneath. However there was a lot of noise from the street below. The windows are single glazed and would definitely benefit from having secondary glazing"

"Well where do I start, the staff were excellent as they were so helpful, caring and very friendly. The hotel had a great atmosphere and the food was excellent as well as being very tasty. Being treated by the cat was lovely as it was so friendly and waited for us at the top of the stairs when we came to our room. So much looking at planning to go back for another visit."
