The lion hotel
10/10 Excellent
"The Lion Inn was a last minute booking but it did not disappoint. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The food was served hot. The breakfast was cooked to order and was a great welsh breakfast. The rooms were cosy but with a boutique hotel theme. Public areas were clean there was parking available with tables outside. The village was lovely too and the location made easy access to Montgomery and Welshpool. A great base for people touring that area. Wish we could have booked for longer. We would definitely visit again and would recommend the inn to anyone in the area. They also accept dogs which is good for any owners visiting the area"

"Booked this off a wim. What a great little place we have found! Broke up the journey from south to north well and was modern, clean, friendly, quiet and a really good place to stay! Will definitely be staying again next time we have to make the journey this way! Ideal location. Breakfast was really good in the morning too!"

"Wonderful staff. Very welcoming. Restaurant has great food options. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Hotel is just a few minutes away from the mall."

"Check in was quick and welcoming. Parking was not an issue as I travelled by train, but there was a large car park. There was a nice seating area in addition to the restaurant. I did have a tile missing in the bathroom and the edge of the carpet was very dirty - not been hoovered for ages. Breakfast was good."
