"The staff were all so friendly and welcoming 🙏.
We had an evening meal and Breakfast and both were excellent. Freshly made to order and you could tell the ingredients were all good quality.
We will stay again and we will recommend to friends or family."

"The room was excellent, though the bed felt too soft for my preference (not a criticism). The staff were exceptionally welcoming and helpful.
On the other hand, the Wi-Fi and signal were poor; we rely heavily on such services nowadays...
No hotel parking was available.
I would return at any time."

"This is an excellent small boutique B&B. Full of charm and character. Very well maintained and clean. Owners kept themselves to themselves other than the welcome. Lovely breakfast. Very organised. Would definitely stay again so would recommend to others."

"Came here as a solo traveller and LOVED it. The single room was a little small, but perfect for only staying a couple days. The bathroom + shower were also very small, but considering I’m only 158cm/5’3, it worked out well. However, a taller person may find it a bit uncomfortable.
The location was perfect. It was only 10 min by foot from the train station and about 15 min from Cardiff Castle.
I also had an issue the first night with the heater in the room so I complained to the staff. Not...

"Our one-night stay was lovely. The peaceful surroundings, stunning views, and calm atmosphere made it a great stopover. We’d definitely recommend this location to anyone looking for a relaxing countryside escape."

We stayed for two nights as we were getting married at the Goddess Temple and this was the perfect base. We felt perfectly at home and enjoyed some quiet time in the two sitting rooms and nothing was ever too much trouble. It really could be a museum and we could have spent the whole weekend looking at the items and artwork. Our room had everything we could wish for with the bathroom fully stocked with toiletries. Breakfast was effectively all you can eat with everything cooked to order, while...

The hotel was very good, extremely welcoming staff and very friendly, the food was the best, we both had rib eye and agree it was probably the best we’ve ever had and that blue cheese sauce was ridiculous.
We will be back

We loved the place: it’s a charming, quaint old cottage that’s had a sympathetic B&B conversion and is exceptionally neat, tidy and spotlessly clean.
James and Katherine are exceptionally welcoming and helpful, and good fun.
Everything in the breakfast room was beautifully presented and laid out with precision, and the hearty breakfast was, of course, exceptional! Everything is home-made or sourced locally. James makes his own bread, preserves and granola.
Our room was “bijou” but...

Beautiful place, I had a lovely single room with a view of the west front of the cathedral, very good breakfast. I would have loved to have eaten in the Italian restaurant downstairs, but our meals were all pre planned elsewhere. Hopefully I will return one day!

It was perfect. We had an early morning flight from Bristol and it was just around the corner. Self check in and out made everything really simple and the accomodation was perfect. Love my little touches throughout showing an extra special effort had been made. Great shower, which is really important to us.

Beautiful house set in the stunning Exmoor National park is worth the 5 stars alone. However , it is the attentiveness of the owners and attention to detail that really makes Edgcott House very, very special.
Room was beautifully appointed with quality fixtures, made all the more special with aromatherapy products in the bathroom and freshly baked cake left in the room each day.

Our weekend was set for some truffle hunting and we chose Munden House as our base. We were given the Dairy cottage which was warm and cute. Although we didn't make as much use of the place as we'd like to have, it was wonderfully cosy. The bedding was perfect for a luxury sleep. And the couple that run the hotel are charming and delightful to chat to. Highly recommended.

very clean and quiet room, nice soft towels, comfortable bed and a quiet fan was provided in the room as we stayed during a very hot spell. The owners were really friendly and helpful, and very kindly offered us the room for a couple of hours longer after check out as we were attending a funeral that morning and wanted to change afterwards. We really appreciated their thoughtfulness.
Definitely recommend staying here.
