The rooms were clean. The first night we were upstairs, and we had trouble with the stairs, so they gave us a room on the ground floor. Most valuable was the help we received from the staff with our internet and GPS.

The Anchorage Guest House is just a 5 minute walk into Cardiff centre and just across the river to the best stadium in the world. The Anchorage is being renovated at the moment and the room was decorated to a high standard. Everything was great.

Close to city centre, for the cost it was spot on. Will definitely stay here again. Only downside was the room was too hot and I couldn't get window to open, minor detail.

Misleading Listing
The guest house told me through message that a staff member would check us in if we arrived between 3-5pm. We arrived around 4:20pm and no one was there. The listing on Hotels.com also says that breakfast is available but when we got up in the morning, there still weren't any employees on site and no breakfast anywhere. The door marked "reception" was closed and locked the entirety of our stay. We even asked a fellow guest if he knew where breakfast was being served and he said he'd stayed there a few times and didn't know anything about there ever being breakfast available. The listing also says free toiletries but our room only had hand soap for the sink and body wash for the shower. I feel like the listing is misleading.
