The hotel is in a quiet location with beautiful gardens. We had a beautiful spacious room that was well appointed. All the staff we came across were lovely.

The staff were friendly, with one lovely ginger boy telling us lots of stories about the hotel and its origins, and one tall waiter finding us a seat looking onto the arena despite those tables all being reserved (sorry that I forgot the actual names!) Perfect for an overnight to catch a flight early morning.

The hotel has beautiful scenic views and gorgeous interior. The staff at this hotel could not have been more welcoming, starting with reception, to house keeping, to the staff at the spa/pool and lastly but not least the restaurant staff. I did, however, have one negative experience which was that I passed out in the spa sauna - the high tempature and my low blood pressure were not a good mix. I stayed with two friends to do some walking in the Trossachs and Loch Lomond area. Our primary requirement was for somewhere of a reasonable standard within easy driving distance of where we wanted to walk. In the event, the Abbotsford Hotel delivered all that we wanted and more. 2 good nights sleep. Good size room. King sixe bed and matress zzzzzz. Both meals and breakfasts were great. The staff are very pleasant and polite. They actually look like they enjoy working there. This could be because it is an NHS run hospital so less stressful on the staff. The views are of the River Clyde. Both days we watched the last ocean going steam paddle ship sail past it is the best sight and sound.

Great hotel in good location, We stayed with a 1 yr old and a 4 yr old and the facilities on offer were perfect (indoor play area and swimming pool). Rooms and corridors maybe could do with updating but that aside it was very clean and staff were very friendly. Would most definatly stay here again.

fantastic family night. Great value for money. Food was out of this world!!! Only issue the room phone did not work and reception staff told us to contact reception from the room but all the phones in our building have been down for weeks. Pool and spa facilities great. Looking forward to coming back.

Great hotel

A short but very pleasant stay at the hotel. As I was visiting relatives I didn't use all the hotel facilities but the room was large, quiet and comfortable, albeit a bit dark. Breakfast was excellent as I expected.

Lovely hotel right on the side of the Loch a 30 minute walk into town, but has a great restaurant and bar on site. Fab for Loch side walks, parking on site and free

Fabulous little find. I booked not realising standard rooms shared the main bathroom. When I arrived it was no problem to upgrade. Breakfast was delish and staff were very attentive. Would definitely recommend this stunning Guest house

The first choice hotel for staying in Glasgow

Made to feel most welcome. Nothing to much trouble for the friendly staff.

This hotel does what it says in the tin. Central, clean, easy to walk everywhere. It is a no frills hotel but had everything you need and the room was completely refreshed for my second night. Bed was very comfortable and it was nice to have a room where you can open a window and not have to rely on air conditioning.(for some reason I was given an ‘acessible room’ which did make me smile. The room was clean and spacious enough. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Nothing seemed too much. It was perfect proximity to the Hydro and the breakfast was delicious. We would definitely stay there again
