"We mentioned it would be our anniversary while we were staying here, and they put us in a wonderful room on the top floor, with “kissing swan” towels and fake rose petals and chocolates on the bed - really above and beyond! Huge picture window with a fabulous view of the city, spacious bedroom and bathroom, comfortable bed (#1criteria), plenty of hot water (#2 criteria), excellent breakfast, nice little bar, very nice lounge area complete with card and board games. Location was ideal, right in the heart of Canterbury, a very walkable small city. Lots of pedestrian-only streets, lots of shops, restaurants and pubs, some very cool old buildings, a huge cathedral, and an old city wall. Lots of charm and history here, and two train stations nearby - easy to London and easy to Dover, an excellent day trip. We spent three weeks in the UK and this was the best place we stayed - practically perfect!"

"My wife & I were only there for one night, but we were happy with this hotel. The price was very fair. The staff we dealt with went above and beyond in their customer service. It was a very nice, clean hotel close to a lot of coffee shops, restaurants and more. We were able to park in their lot behind the hotel which had plenty of spaces. It was a bit loud at times for hallway and elevator noise, but overall it is a good hotel and we'd stay there again."

"Me and my new husband spent our wedding night here absolutely perfect. We arrived late and the night manger was perfect warm greeting and showed us to our room to our surprise he was there for breakfast as well. The room was perfect we was greeted by a dove in our room in the morning which we are taking as good luck. The spa facilities were brilliant and relaxing as well thank you so much everything was perfect "

"The room was decadent, stately and incredibly clean. It was like walking back in time. We loved the garden and grounds. We only wish there was less golf and more woodland trails. The staff were wonderful and full of great stories. We will return one day. "
