"I was very happy with my stay. I was here for a run. I had a nice meal which was needed. I was particularly impressed at guest laundry at no extra cost. The staff were friendly and helpful. I asked for a small extension to my check out time and this was not a problem. This was extremely helpful as it enabled me to change after my run. I would definitely stay here again"

"A lovely hotel in the most perfect of areas for exploring everything Durham. A little more tea and little checks of the room would’ve made it super. Only other slight disappointment was only small amounts of fruit at breakfast. Everything else was lovely including staff and general upkeep of hotel itself. Thank you for a great stay"

"I know it’s new, but everything about this overnight stay was fantastic. Staff… really attentive and helpful. They set my room temperature and asked which room I’d like to stay in. Breakfast… plenty on offer, freshly cooked food, great service. Room… very spacious, clean, had space to sit on an evening, HD television. Location… perfect for the city, it’s in the area which has been developed to support arts and social activities, major change from when I lived here whilst studying. No parking, but they are upfront about this and St. Mary’s multi story is opposite and secure."
