"A different take on a traditional hotel. Modern and nice interior features. 1st impressions were good. Greeted on arrival. Check in was smooth and easy. Advised on how to use the lift with key card and breakfast. Offered an option to dine in and a welcome drink. Room was generally clean. We found a long hair in the shower and the bathroom generally smelt of sewage but felt it was coming from the drains. As soon as you ran some water it subsided and with the the door shut you couldn’t smell it in the rest of the room. Welcome message on the TV was a nice touch and the atmosphere of the room was good. Bed was for us way too soft. This did affect our general sleep. Breakfast was efficient and was well done. Overall we felt it was good value and would stay at the Moxy again. The surrounding area of the hotel aren’t the best but this isn’t the hotels fault. Staff were also great."

"A really tidy and well positioned hotel, rooms were clean and spacious, our bathroom a little small, but clean and tidy hotel, staff were very pleasant and suited our quick trip to Plymouth."

"Good location for Barbican and town. Staff on reception and staff at breakfast very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was poor. Would stay again because of location and staff but not have breakfast there"

"Loved this hotel. The rooms were spotless and bright. Hotel team couldn’t do any more. Great location to be able to walk out to the beach and parking . Parking is a bit tight in the hotel but overflow is available if full"

"Stayed 3 nights & had a wonderful time at this beautiful located hotel. The staff are amazing, helpful & very professional.Food wonderful & breakfast fantastic.Highly recommend Gara Rock, location perfect & panoramic views & lovely walk to catch the ferry to Salcombe.Will definitely return for future stays in the area."
