This is an historically interesting hostel with a good standard of accommodation. It has lovely gardens and is very well located for Beverley.
A bit outdated no chef so no evening meals also only one towel and no toilet roll first night
Staff very friendly a lovely comfortable bed and food choice excellant
The room was nice and clean, fresh bedding and kettle and coffee making facilities. Overall,it was perfectly adequate and close to all the amenities. Would stay there again.
Room was very comfortable. Even though it was a busy Bank Holiday weekend the room was quiet. Renovation of the hotel was well designed and I loved the Warhol-style Mary Robinson prints in the dining room.
One of the United Kingdom's prettiest counties lies in the north - the glorious East Riding of Yorkshire. The picturesque county welcomes thousands of visitors annually, providing a unique blend of natural countryside and enchanting market towns. One of the county's foremost attractions is located in the town of Beverley, which lies six miles to the north of Hull. Formerly the county's capital, Beverley is home to one of East Yorkshire's oldest and most beautiful buildings - Beverley Minster. Visitors will find a whole host of guesthouses and hotels in this charming town.
In the centre of Beverley, visitors will find a stunning church that dates back as far as the 7th Century. Work on the Gothic masterpiece you see today started around 1220 and took some 200 years to complete. The result was one of the country's largest parish churches, a fine example of perpendicular design which would come to inspire such famous religious buildings as Westminster Abbey.
Visitors can find daily tours of the Grade I listed building. Those with smartphones or tablets can make use of the church's WiFi to guide themselves around the building. Highlights include the country's largest surviving treadwheel crane, which sits in the central tower. There's also a gift shop for visitors to grab a memorable souvenir.
The church plays a central role within the Beverley community, but not only as a religious space. There are also a number of modern spaces available for hire, perfect for corporate events and meetings.
From boardrooms to conference space, there's an area at Beverley Minster to suit every occasion. All rooms are equipped with state of the art AV equipment and can be configured to suit individual needs. The church itself can also be hired for concerts and events.
Beverley may no longer be the county's capital, but it remains one of Yorkshire's most popular tourist destinations. This means that it's home to some of the finest hotels in the East Riding of Yorkshire.
The Beverley Guesthouse is a welcoming B&B set within a stunning Georgian property near the centre of town. There are exquisite views over the adjacent field and breakfast is available for a small fee.
