Excellent location and beautiful home. We love to eat together and the long dining room table and well equipped kitchen was just what we love in a vacation home. We enjoyed the hot tub which was very clean after a day of skiing. We would love to stay there again!!

Grandparent weekend
Our family of four( two teen kids) and both sets of grandparents gathered for our third annual pre- holiday gathering. We had an amazing time at this cute house. We really enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit and proximity to town. The Christmas tree also made the perfect holiday vibe.

Beautiful house and view
We stayed her for a wedding in Bethel. It was an excellent location, the place was as described in the listing, it was clean, and the owner was very responsive! We had a few pictures taken there because it was so beautiful with the mountains as a backdrop and they turned out incredible! Unfortunately, we were too busy to enjoy all the amenities the place had to offer, but we plan on returning. Thank you again for a memorable stay.

Relaxing Mountain Getaway
Our stay was fantastic! The house is beautiful, it has a cabin feel but is very modern and comfortable. The views are spectacular! Everything was clean when we arrived, and the check-in/check-out process was super easy. The house had everything we needed and more! The beds are comfortable and everyone was able to have their own space in our group of 7.

The views were spectacular, even better in person. The house was spacious, very clean and well equipped. Sound system was amazing, perfect background music while relaxing in the hot top and enjoying the views. We will be back for sure.

Mike was an amazing host! Responds quickly, answered all my questions, provided a map with things to do and restaurants, as well as a fully stocked house for our duration. The view was spectacular. Very quiet and plenty of room for our group. Highly recommend.

Our family stayed at Vale Cabin for two three day weekends with another family during the winter of 2023 and we had a blast! The house was clean, the manager was responsive and a pleasure to work with, the cabin is stocked with supplies, hot tub was clean and hot with chemicals to probably treat after each use, comfy beds and linens, plenty of towels and cleaning supplies. No complaints here, we loved the house and would return.

We rented this to have a long weekend away and to enjoy Sunday River. The property was beautiful and the owner was wonderful and available for any questions. The beds were very comfortable! Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful, fun weekend ski escape
We spent a Friday/Saturday here, checking in and enjoying the amenities as listed, getting a cozy night sleep and then heading off to Sunday River for the day. The kids thought it was so cool you could see the trails from the property and the adult appreciated being in such close proximity. It’s the perfect getaway location; we’ll definitely be back. Incredible Experience!
Mike's cabin was our home base for a few days of skiing and hiking around the Bethel/Gorham area and was an excellent stay! The cabin is very conveniently located just outside of town, is in wonderful condition, and has all the stops needed for an awesome experience with a sizeable group. The kitchen and dining area had essentially every piece of kitchenware one could need and everything was of a superb quality. For those visiting in Winter, the cabin is incredibly efficient with its heating and and thermal envelope. During our stay temperatures constantly dipped below -20F with high winds but there was no issue with heating retention/response and the beautiful large triple pane windows had barely any heat transfer. Mike was very prompt in answering all our questions and extremely helpful! When our party had issues traversing up the driveway, Mike had the driveway promptly sanded the next day. I would highly recommend choosing this as your stay!

The house was beautiful with a lovely view, hot tub and entertainment room. It was close to the ski slopes and town. We arrived at the end of a big snow storm and the driveway had been freshly plowed. I’d highly recommend this home.

Simply Wonderful
I can’t say enough good things about Mike’s place. He is an incredible host: generous, kind, responsive. The house is very well appointed and stocked and I suggest you check the place out before you do your grocery and supply shopping. There are several small gourmet stores in the area and the Bethel Foodliner and Dollar General are well stocked. The hot tub and fire pit are a perfect place to warm up after a long day of skiing and watch the sunset over Mt Washington. Sunday River is a great place to ski: not crazy crowded like Stowe and places in Colorado; they work hard to keep the runs up to par. We will be back!

This property was exceptionally clean and well equipped!
We had 8 adults gathered for a family member"s 75th birthday. Everyone had a bed and each bed was comfortable and nicely put together. The kitchen had most any utensil or pot needed and many necessities to get you started like coffee, spices, oils, etc. The views from the cabin are spectacular. The hot tub and fire pit made for a great place to gather outside with the mountains in full view. Communication with the owner was quick and easy. I highly recommend this for a cozy, clean, and well equipped get away!

Amazing getaway with stunning views
I booked this for a nice weekend unplug with my adult son and dtr, her boyfriend and my cousin. It was an amazing place. So very clean, lots of room, set up great for cooking but we didn't actually cook. Amazing views especially nice to have a cup of coffee watching sun rise. Fun movie theater, hot tub, fire it, corn hole and board games. Not much else to ask for. Would love to go again.

A quiet getaway with everything we needed
Really enjoyed our stay at this house in Bethel. The house was equipped with everything we needed. The hot tub was fantastic and we enjoyed being able to listen to music throughout the house, even outside. Watching a few movies on the big screen downstairs was great! We visited the Maine Mineral & Gem Museum while there… our daughter loved it!!

Great place, great location!
The house was great! Plenty of comfortable sleeping space, kitchen had everything we needed, beautiful mountain view from the dining area windows and a great table with seating for 8. We loved the theatre room…my only suggestion would be to add more seating and a shade for over the glass on the door. Loved the fire pit and hitting the hot tub at night was wonderful. The star gazing is amazing. Very relaxing outdoor space with lovely landscaping. The location is right near everything but was very private and secluded driving up the hill on the path to the house. GPS wasn’t accurate fyi. Close to Sunday River, Frenchman’s hole, Grafton Notch. We struck out with the restaurant scene, 1-1/2 hour wait once seated in Modern Barn…but we had some great meals at the cabin. Communication with the owner Mike was great, he’s quick to respond. I’d definitely rent again.

Quick Weekend Getaway
This property is as gorgeous as advertised. My husband, son and I came here for an extended weekend vacation and had a great time. The house was well maintained with gorgeous views. The only downside was that we tried to use the big screen TV downstairs and it was almost impossible to change the channels (even after trying to work through the issues with the owner).

I'm delighted you enjoyed the views and the house. I'm sorry to hear the TV was problematic even after we talked. I have since upgraded the TV to make sure future guests don't have issues with it changing channels.

This property is absolutely beautiful!! It was so relaxing and welcoming!! The views are beautiful and everything about the property is just cozy. The last night we were there we loved the fact we had a chance to enjoy a nice movie night all together. We are already planning a sibling trip here!
