"Not a bad location for a low price. "
Room wasn't ready until after checkin time and then they didn't clean it for 3 days. They frequently forgot things when they did remember to make up the room, like bath mats, milk, etc and the heater didn't work which wasn't great in December. However, if you don't mind a bit of a walk it's not too far from Reading Town Centre and there are bus stops after a short walk in both directions.

Hotel was very clean and tidy. The only draw back was that the bedroom was way to hot and we could not open a window.

"Right in the city centre "
The nice hotel is right in the city centre with only a short walk away from the train station and the oracle. The hexagon theater is a bout 10 minutes walk I would use this hotel if I was staying in reading again. Also they do have a swimming pool.

Only stayed for one night so not fare to give a proper review. The one thing that was a bind though was there is not enough parking outside for such a large hotel. And rooms are a bit dated. Otherwise we had no problems.

Amazing!! Beautiful room in a lovely setting. Staff where very accomadating and professional. The restaurant we had a great start to the meal, I would highly recommend the goats cheese salad the peacan nuts where perfect a well balanced dish every component was perfect unfortunately that's where it ended, my fillet steak was over cooked I asked for medium rare it came medium well garlic mash under seasoned spinach to salty and was the jus and the chocolate dessert was ok but to much going on the while thing was bland it looks like mains and dessert the presentation was more important then the flavour and marriage of food. But that said it was far from terrible but I just expected more as the starter was perfect in everyway as was everything else in the hotel. Will definitely go back!!
