Purdy Lodge is lying low and as you crackle along the gravel through the truck-stop it would be no surprise to see Travis squinting into the low winter sun as he shambles past the all night gas station into the drug store to get some ice. Stayed Sunday/Monday - excellent welcome and room. Had an evening meal and breakfast. The food choice is very good and the quality of the food served was excellent. The staff are really friendly and professional and could not do enough to help you. In terms of access to some of Northumberland's best coastline you cannot have a better location. Everything and more than we hoped for.

Amazing, great little find. Bedroom was spotlessly clean, plenty of hot water and powerful shower and the bed was SO comfortable. The quality of the decoration in the room and the pub overall was impressive. Only minor issue was the duvet was too warm but then it was a very warm day. So many little touches made it extra special, Border biscuits, plenty of tea and coffee in the room and good quality complimentary toiletries.
