"Had a fabulous stay, been many times before when it was Mercure Hotels. Had an issue on the first day, which was quickly resolved. Will stay again, when we are visiting family."

"Love the room we stayed in, good space , bathroom was great big bath with TV, good shower aswell, bed comfortable, view over canal was nice, had breakfast lovely, spa was a 2 min walk, garden was nice, overall excellent "

"Very good value! Large room in historic pub. Building is full of character with wonky beams and creaky floor boards, and our room had an incredible four poster bed. Everything was clean and linens were all good quality. Bathroom could use some minor retouching but was perfectly acceptable. We stayed in the peak of summer (30 degree days) and did find it was very hot and there was no fan in the room. Trade off between having the windows open to help cool off which also let in a fair amount of street noise overnight. Probably wouldn’t typically be an issue though and will stay again!"

"Great place to stay.The service was really good. The staff were friendly and efficient. We had two rooms both of which were immaculately clean and very comfortable We ate in the bar and the food was tasty they also offered a complimentary breakfast which was excellent I would recommend it and will stay again if we are in the area"
