"We stayed here for a few days over Christmas whilst visiting nearby family. Communication with Jan before our stay was excellent and the hotel was exactly what was needed.

"The pictures are somewhat misleading. It's an old hotel, it's not in a particular great location and it's seen better days.
However, there is absolutely nothing wrong with the rooms..it's really clean and the beds are comfortable.
I would not recommend a weekend away here, but it's a comfortable place to stay overnight and not far from Goslar.
The owner is really nice as well."

"Vi havde en dejlig overnatning. Værelset var rigtig fint med en dejlig seng og et super fint badeværelse. Vær opmærksom på at restauranten kan være lukket, når man ankommer. Smuk beliggenhed ved søen."

"The hotel suite was spacious but old fashioned. No cleaning or bed making done, the lift worked intermittently which was a bother as I walk with a bad leg. "

I was really surprised by how good this hotel was, really good condition, nice location, super comfy bed, kitchen facilities in room, good shower.
The breakfast buffet was really tasty, good eggs and sausage.
In the evening the restaurant serves really good food at a decent price, and the beer and service is good.
Staff were fun, helpful and professional.
Local environment is quiet, the local town a 15 minute walk, but its an easy and safe walk, and worth it as there are a couple of bars...

Fabulous place to stay if you want something different. Large clean bedrooms & great breakfast. There was a wedding on when we arrived but they allowed us to stay & eat as nowhere else around had availability. Lovely to have the church next door & grounds to walk around. Highly recommend. Shop nearby for spirits & liqueurs that are made in the local distillery.

A wonderful hotel set in a wonderful village.
A little dated in terms of decor BUT overwhelming a nice place to stay.
Staff always great AND I had my evening meal in the restaurant EVERY night - the food was traditional & the best in the last year I’ve spent in Germany. All at a very affordable price. Thank you.

Very well taken care of hotel. Very clean, bedroom can be made completely dark for the night, the bathroom was new and moderm, the staff is super nice. If I would think of one negative thing the beds are very hard, but every other single little detail is perfect.
