Palaces in Austria

Highly recommended. We had a junior suite for 3 adults. Hotel recently renovated and beautifully done. The staircase itself looked like a palace staircase. Small issue with the shower, which can be expected when renovations are done - the staff was very accommodating with extra towels being provided until a fix was done when we were out, and extra room tidy. Nice walk to centre of Vienna and opera, as well as close to restaurants for the evening. We couldn't have hoped for a better stay.

Great hotel in great location with great staff. Used as a base for Christmas Markets and it was perfect. Loved every minute of our 3 night stay - but it is quite expensive !

Its a very nicely run hotel.We enjoyed our stay alot the staff made it feel special and nothing seemed to much trouble.

Red roses,champagne,duvet folded in shape of heart with rose petals arranged around it...unexpected for our wedding anniversary. View from our window was of river, castle, and old town. Perfect room in everyway. All the staff were friendly and helpful in everyway. Could not fault hotel in anyway. Best hotel we have ever stayed in on our travels over the years

From check in till check out we had the most enjoyable experience. The staff is very friendly and we got upgraded to a Grand Deluxe Room which was huge. The amenities are of a very high quality. Small details such as a shower with all electronic controls were very sophisticated. Housekeeping ensured a lovely turn down every day. Concierge and reception staff were very friendly and informative.

Lovely clean hotel with a delightful aroma on entry and helpful, Friendly Staff. Breakfast was excellent and offered a real variety. Main shops a 20 minute walk away.

We had a lovely stay at Das Tigra, conveniently located to city centre . The breakfast was excellent .The only unfortunate thing was the Chambermaid staff did not pay attention to detail, eg requested non feather bedding but feather pillows were on the bed, Tea and hair products were not replaced daily.The cleaning of the bathroom was not up to standard. However the front of house staff were very attentive and remedied the issues . I would return if these issues are addressed.

Lovely hotel, quite old-fashioned in operation (have to hand key in every time you go out), but lovely staff, great location, and the superior double was a huge room with separate clothing store/wardrobe room, big bathroom, comfy sofa, large bed. If I visit Vienna again, would happily stay here again.

Beautiful period hotel, 10 mins walk from opera house. Really comfortable bed, nice local beer in the mini bar, tea/coffee making. Excellent customer service, they even gave us a complimentary pot of mustard when we checked out! Breakfast was included with a surprisingly excellent range of quality choices, in a pretty dining room. We would definitely stay again.

Friendly helpful staff with good English. Breakfast excellent and free coffee and cakes in the afternoon. Easy walking distance of city centre and good Ubsrn connections. Quiet clean functional rooms and fast Wi-Fi.

A second visit to the Blaue Gans - our 'go to' hotel when in Salzburg. A direct bus line from the airport drops you right outside the door - and your then based within an easy walk of all the main attractions in the old town. Fantastic staff throughout, with an extremely helpful reception team to help you get the most from your visit. Comfortable rooms, beautiful, simple, and with great design. If just there for a long weekend a 'regular room' will be perfectly adequate as they all have...
