"This hotel was perfectly situated for all that we needed in Reykjavík. The fact that there is a bakery, a bar and restaurant connected to the hotel made for an exceptional experience. We also lucked into a night of jazz for free during our stay. Small things like the free chocolates and excellent coffee machines throughout the hotel as well as the beautifully appointed conference rooms and lounge areas just added to the experience. We highly recommend to any and all. The Executor is Excelsior."

We were incredibly grateful to receive an early check-in since our room was already ready when we arrived after traveling. The breakfast offered a wonderful variety of options each morning, and everything was fresh and delicious. Every single member of the staff was warm, welcoming, professional, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. The location was also fantastic — perfectly situated for exploring Reykjavík while still feeling comfortable and relaxing. "This is an old property showing lots of wear and tear. There is a peculiar smell in the building. The room spacious enough but is very basic and uninviting. Very old furniture. The shower room again, very basic, sheer curtain does not contain the water. No room keeping (I think you can ask for it if you stay a certain number of days but it wasn’t offered). The staff were quite abrupt and unfriendly. Breakfast was sufficient - breads, spreads, cereal, fruit, yoghurt, eggs. Location is great next to the main church and the shopping streets."
