The room was very clean, and a 5 star review for all the little extras/ little touches.
A little jar of oat milk in the fridge was appreciated for my teas/coffees and also being vegan there was biscuits I could eat. The bed was comfy, and the location is lovely - lovely views of the loch and great location for local hiking and the botanical gardens.
The hosts were very welcoming and friendly.
The breakfasts were amazing - you choose your menu choices the night before so it’s cooked right on...

The hotel had a lot of character and the menu in the restaurant was far more interesting than most hotels in the highlands.

Lovely and friendly staff. Check in /out was smooth. The family room was really large and comfortable. The breakfast options were great and at a great price too. The menu was vast and the food was delicious. Walking distance to explore the area and a great stop off point for many attractions.

An excellent small hotel in a rather grand Victorian house on the main road in Callendar. Easy walk into town. Great base for exploring the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Stunning scenery. Great town to base yourself we stayed there for 8 years so we know this . The guest house is beautiful back from the road so very peaceful. The hosts are so lovely and welcoming. Arrive early to find ski lifts were closed. We had a lovely breakfast and were given our rooms early. Staff were all very helpful and couldn't do enough for us. We had a lovely dinner just next to the bar area which had a very friendly , cosy atmosphere. Would definitely stay again. Deluxe rooms well worth the extra cost.
