We really enjoyed our stay at the lion. Location to Bicester was perfect. Room was exactly what we booked . Dinner was excellent … that burger was first class & the crumble was awesome. Class venue .

Lovely hotel in a quiet location but loads of things to do nearby from Oxford to Bicester Village and the Cotswolds. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The quality of the food was the standout with great menu, quality and presentation. Would highly recommend

Just back from a few days staying at the De Vere, Sandford on Thames. Excellent hotel, comfy deluxe double, delicious breakfast with great choice of food. Helpful staff on reception suggested taking the bus, from just outside the hotel, in to Oxford. 15 mins and we were in the heart of the city. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Nice hotel and had a lovely meal in restaurant. It was a bit noisy due to private party but that’s our issue due to going to sleep early! Good breakfast too.

Anniversary weekend. Very nice hotel with character and good service - just what we were looking for. The room was super, the hotel serve fantastic afternoon tea and we loved the quiet library and the little sun-trap on the library terrace. Would have liked fluffy bathrobes, but can't think of anything else to improve. Be warned: - The bed was hard (which we like/prefer) but large and comfortable. The Malmaison oxford is so far one of our best stays we have had in the uk! The hotel is a stunning renovation from a prison to a hotel that my now fiance just loved. The interior is stunning and classy with such helpful staff that took our car and parked it when we arrived, making us feel like Royalty. The Junior suite was breath taking with so much space, large bed, large tv, comfy and stylish seating and a large double shower to top it off. although we didn't eat in the hotel we did visit...

First time visitors to Oxford, this place was ideal for two twin rooms at a sensible price for an overnight stay with what turned out to be an excellent breakfast. No question next time we visit I will be checking out availability on this place first, family enjoyed it. Easy buses every 10 mins or so into and out of the city centre. (Get the family 24h ticket, good value!)

We had a lovely one-night stay at House 41 while visiting Aylesbury Theatre. The room was spotless, warm and welcoming, making it a lovely place to relax after our evening out. Helen, the owner, was absolutely lovely and made us feel very welcome. The breakfast was freshly cooked, delicious and the perfect start to the day. Really lovely hotel in 20min walking distance or £6 cab (Oct 2024) from centre of Oxford. Very welcoming, beautiful and clean room, comfortable beds, lovely bathroom and extra touches like a fridge with some free juices and sodas, tea/coffee/hot chocolate/biscuits and also toiletries bags for each of us. Highly recommend.

The bedroom was well equipped with everything that you might need. Comfortable bed and excellent facilities for making drinks in the room, the bathroom was equipped with quality products for showering and hand washing . Breakfast was superb with a wide choice of options. I extended my stay by a further night and dined in the restaurant.
