Could fault nothing. Excellent from first arrival(just to drop luggage off prior to check in to actual departure). Love hotel, Staff, accomadation, everything. Cant wait o go back.

Everything in Shaftoes have been done to a very high standard. Dave could not have done more to make our stay better. Recommends eating places, booked a table and sorted out a menu for us that suited our taste. Verry good knowledge of local places to visit.

The staff at The Rose and Crown are some of the friendliest I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. We were down for a wedding, and they were incredibly accommodating and welcoming. The room was clean and quiet, and breakfast was cooked fresh. The village is small, and bit out of the way, but offers excellent walking trails.

Lovely stay, food was fantastic. Both evening meal and breakfast was devine. Room was beautiful and immaculate. Great castle with lots of history, we did the castle tour that they do every morning which we thought was a lovely touch.

Had a great stay here, spacious bedroom overlooking the countryside in a quiet location. Enjoyed the food and great atmosphere in the pub.

Fabulous visit, vey plesant, good food. Observatory was very interesting.

Generally we liked everything, though lots of items, the bathroom for example was what we would call 'tatty' doubtless because you have been closed due to Covid for lengthy periods this year and last. Thus repainting has not been able to be done. Sleeping was good, not least because Elizabeth was able to have sheets and blankets rather than a duvet.....exactly as we requested in fact. Good. Lovely room with jet bath and tv in bathroom nice chill with glass of wine , breakfast was piping hot and delicious, lovely friendly lady waiting on in dining room .

We had a very pleasant surprise with the property,doesn’t look great from the outside but superb rooms, a very nice kitchen available to use and the rooms were fantastic.The staff/owners were very friendly and helpful, we will Definitely be back.

Lived like a Lord of the Manor for 3 days. I grew to love the place and friendly service. A nice relaxing break together with really good food in Library Restaurant. Well worth the extra cost.

Lovely hotel in a lovely location. Large room all the facilities were first class, free use of sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, etc which made the stay even more enjoyable. Will definitely be returning 👍

Fabulous room, enormous comfortable bed, amazing bathroom, it was a real taste of luxury. Only one slight quibble, the breakfast was extra so we didn't bother.

The staff were terrific and good outstanding!
