"The bed was comfortable, and because we were away from the road, there was little traffic noise. However the walls are very thin, and sound could be heard through them. The bathroom is tiny, and the taps swivel which is a bit annoying. The host was very friendly and welcoming."

"Our stay was good. Of course we can’t say much as we just use it in the evening. Wash, sleep, wake up, breakfast; out we go. If you are looking for something upmarket this is not for you. This was a simple and easy no fuss kind of place. The “haunted” bit is interesting. This hotel have 32 rooms in total but we stayed in room 33! The peeling wall paint, the tatty carpet squeaking doors and floors (clean actually) gave the real feeling of the term “haunted”. We ate at the restaurant once and we think the food is brilliant. Staff is actually very friendly. Breakfast was simple and again no fuss. "
