Beautiful location
Amazing setting of the Château, and great to sip a glass of wine or two on the terrace overlooking the garden with a very nice view. We stayed at the Village house, some 200 meters up the road, not in the Château. Nicely decorated rooms (basic, but everything you need, excellent bathroom/shower fittings), and self-service coffee and tea machine in shared area. Nice and good coffee. Downside: the coffee table was just outside our bedroom, and so were the people having breakfast. This in addition to the heavy traffic outside wasn’t so great. We would come back, but only stay at the Château itself.

Nice spot to enjoy the Swiss 'lowlands'.
Wonderful property, great people - one caveat: our room overlooked the main street of Allaman, so we needed to close the windows at night to reduce noise. The local church across the street rings the hours from 7 AM to 10 PM daily. We spent a lovely morning leisurely enjoying breakfast in the courtyard, with an Alps & vineyard view. Had a Raclette dinner with the House Rosé - yummy! The Chateau is a little further from both Geneva & Lausanne than we thought, but the calm locale was worth it. Note that Apple maps sends you " 'round Robinhood's barn" to get to the Chateau; look at a map before-hand to get there more directly & expeditiously.

This is a beautiful chateau set in a picture book Swiss village . There is a lovely walled courtyard with outside seating and a huge field beyond with hammocks under shady trees . We were in a lovely house one hundred yards up the road , with delightful fresh décor , and a charming breakfast area shared by four rooms . What a find !
