Staff very welcoming and helpful. Staff contacted me as I had anticipated a later arrival to advise about dining times whch was really helpful. Food was good. Could be a bit more options of gluten free at breakfast

When we arrived at Churchill Guest House we have been welcomed by Alex who was very kind and helpful as he gave us many tips on places to see and restaurants.
Our room, Clementine, was very clean and comfortable. I do recommend staying there.

Great location situated close to restaurants and Dover Castle. The rooms we had were quaint and clean. It feels much more like a bedroom than a hotel room. The best part of the stay was the caretaker. He had an excellent knowledge of the local area and history and made sure we had everything we needed. He was above and beyond!

Stayed overnight on way to Holland and found everything just brilliant. The lady of the hotel was so polite, obliging and friendly. The room was certainly big, clean and comfortable for myself, husband and 10 year old granddaughter. Had a great night's sleep too on lovely cosy beds. The breakfast was fantastic and plentyful. In future we will definitely go back and stay every time we go across to visit my brother.

Which area of Alkham, England, United Kingdom is best to stay in for beaches?
For beach access, the southern side of Alkham, near Meggett Lane and Alkham Valley Road, is your best bet. This location places you closest to the Folkestone coast, with local accommodations being approximately 6.6 to 8 km from inviting spots like Mermaid Beach and Sandgate Beach.
If your priority is quick access to the seaside, staying in this southern part of Alkham is ideal. However, Alkham itself is an inland village, so for those who wish to truly maximise their beach choices and be directly on the coast, considering Folkestone or Sandgate would be a superior option.
