Hotel Laxnes is located in Haholt which is about a 15 minute drive from Reyakvic. The views from the bedroom was stunning and there are plenty of facilities close by e.g. supermarket, pub and bakery. Johanna who runs the apartments was the most helpful person ever, she went above and beyond I cannot thank her enough. The apartments were modern, spacious, clean & had everything you need such as cooking facilities which is a must in Iceland how expensive eating out is. A supermarket and bakery is across the road also a pizza takeaway. If you forget anything there is a box in reception to help you out. Lovely, small hotel. Rooms modern, stylish, very warm and wonderfully clean. Staff were incredibly helpful and attentive - nothing was too big or small for their kind attention, efficient. Continental breakfast plentiful and fresh, tea and coffee available in small but stylish lounge 24/7.
I want to go back in the summer and will book this hotel again and have no hesitation in recommending it to all my friends.

Staff in the hotel were all pleasant and helpful, and rooms were nice and comfortable. I opted not to eat in the restaurant as I thought I'd be pushed for time to have breakfast before some of the organised tours starting at 8am, and generally decided to eat elsewhere in Reykjavik for dinner.
Location wise, it's a quiet road just at the eastern edge of downtown, so just a few minutes walk away from various shops and restaurants. Also about 5 minutes walk from bus stop #12 which seems to be one...

Positives? Too many to mention. Negatives? Only one... the funny water smell, however this is something all residences suffer from in Iceland (due to the geothermal water supply)
The staff were especially helpful, having a garage was very helpful and despite the central location very easy to drive to. Wife and daughter loved it too.
Would stay here again 10/10

The views and amenities for this place are amazing. The apartment had absolutely everything you could want. The host was very happy to show us around and made us feel very welcome. The hot tub was just the "icing on the cake" for us - many thanks.
I have never slept in such a comfy bed!!
I would highly recommend both apartment & location x

Breakfast was amazing- ample for breakfast ans snacks for lunch too! I don’t think we ever managed to finish it on any of the days we stayed!
Check in was seamless with all the info we needed.

When we first arrived to the apartment we were amazed at how beautiful and lovely it was, and the view from the room was gorgeous. Lovely hotel, clean and well maintained. Staff were superb! Although there is not a restaurant in the hotel (just an excellent breakfast) there are several restaurants within a hundred metres of the front door. Location is not central but taxis available within a couple of minutes to take you downtown. We chose it for both price and close proximity of the cruise terminal.

We booked this hotel because of the discounted price and did not really know what to expect. It turned out to be a great choice. As soon as we booked we got emails from the hotel with loads of information which was very helpful.
Check in was quick and easy and this hotel is brand new, opened two weeks ago. The airport bus took us there and the tour buses pick up right outside the door. The location is perfect, very close to the main street but in a quiet neighborhood. We easily found...
