"I was going to visit the Brecon Mountain Railway and I needed somewhere close by to stay for the night. Luckily, I chose the Butchers Arms. The room was lovely and clean and the bed very comfortable. The food was filling and tasty and I had breakfast looking across to the start of the Brecon Beacons. The beer was wonderful especially the Butty Bach (little friend in Welsh). "

It usually costs more to stay at Aberfan B&Bs over the weekend too. Travelers can find the best deals by being flexible with their dates, and by using our filters to sort prices from low to high.
When is the best time to book a Bed and Breakfast in Aberfan?
January is the most popular month to book a B&B in Aberfan, as visitors flock to the area to enjoy the winter charm and local festivities. The peak season spans from December to February, offering a great experience for those who appreciate the crisp air and the beauty of the surrounding landscapes, often blanketed in snow.

During this time, the average temperatures hover around 5°C, making it a comfortable period for outdoor activities such as winter walks and exploring the area's rich history. Aberfan's close proximity to various hiking trails and scenic spots allows for enjoyable sightseeing amidst the tranquil winter scenery.
