The hotel in lovely and obviously caters for the ‘Up Market’ clientele that they get given the proximity to the fashionable town of Biarritz, however Breakfast was not included and cost 26€ each!!!!! Far too much for a continental breakfast with additional hot items extra! Also be aware you are right next to an airport and will get occasional jet noise (not that busy though.

To stay at this hotel is to experience gracious living and elegance at its very best. Gorgeous hotel on the waterfront - the most impressive in Saint Jean de Luz, with a nice (simple) spa. The staff are the highlight - effortlessly efficient & totally capable - from the (handsome) door men to the amazing receptionist, capable maids & talented masseuse. I would go back in a heartbeat. Certainly to explore the historic local towns and the rich rolling hills, but equally to sit at Domaine Labouroume and enjoy a bottle of wine looking out over the Bearnaise countryside. Beautiful rooms (cool even in the heatwave), wonderful food cooked by the truly inspiring owners. Magical and memorable.

This place is absolutely stunning. Located in the hills, it will provide you with stunning views, fresh air, and the piece and quiet that you need. The foods is exquisite and of Michelin star standard - make sure you try the souffle desert. The service is excellent, always there to help - these people really know what they are doing!

I booked this hotel simply because it was the only 5 star in San Sebastian, which was close to Mugaritz Restaurant, where I had booked a lunch surprise for my husbands birthday. The hotel, and indeed San Sebastian, turned out to be the stars of the trip. Mugaritz was lovely but this hotel is absolutely one of the best we have ever stayed in.
