"This boutique hotel is beachfront. It is walking distance from the lighthouse, the town center, and many restaurants and shops. Zoey greeted us with a welcome drink upon arrival and spent time explaining a map of places that are easily accessible near the hotel. She was amazing! The hotel is Modern and clean. Rooms are very spacious. Water pressure and temperature is excellent. The beach front balconies are accessible with floor to ceiling sliding doors. Bedding, towels, robes and air condition...

"One of the best hotels I have stayed in. The staff were amazing. Especially the evening restaurant manager who, with the help of the chef, daily came up with meal options not on the menu to suit my diet needs (I did not request for this to happen). It was the first time I had stayed in an adult only hotel. I really enjoyed the quietness, feeling of being safe and facilities. The hotel was in a very convenient position for public transport and in easy reach of Chania. "

"We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was very clean and the staff were so attentive - always offering to help with advice or services. Breakfast was wonderful with lots of choice and constant coffee refills . Great way to start the day. The hotel is in an ideal location around 10 mins walk to the old town. Such a nice walk in too. If you’re driving then the hotel is located not far from the main highway road that goes through all of Crete. Really handy!"

"The Alcanea hotel is a most unique property. It is decorated in a way that emphasizes the 500 year old fortress it is a part of. The bed was amazingly comfortable, with lovely bedding. "Beautiful property and very convenient location to Old Town. The one downside is parking. I read somewhere that the property had parking, but it turned out to not have any. We were lucky enough to find parking nearby when we arrived, but then we didn't want to drive anywhere after that for fear of losing our parking spot. Otherwise, everything with this hotel was great!
