"Hotel was being worked on(which was fine). Our room looked into a service area which was quite a mess and could be cleaned up a bit. Rooms could be serviced towels changed, bins emptied, tea coffee replenished more frequently Everything else was good. Breakfast excellent. Rooms clean and large. Food in restaurant s also very good."

"The Empress is in a great location. The bus stop from the airport is extremely close (4). This id ideal for exploring the whole island. Staff were very friendly, we dropped off luggage prior to check in. The hotel seems to have recarpeted throughout and underlay very comfortable. Room was a Triple as we travelled as a family of 3 Adults. 3rd bed was a proper single not a pull out. Room was quiet, extremely clean and well maintained. Breakfast was faultless. We ate on 2 occaisions in the Piano bar. Food was excellent, well priced and extrely large portions. Nice to have a real ale on in the bar. We would definately use this hotel again. "

"An absolute gem, staff in all areas were friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. The chef is topnotch and produces an excellent range of dinner choices. Would wholeheartedly recommend the hotel. Great local beer. Handy cinema just across the road. Would definitely stay here again on my next visit to the Isle of Man."

"It was well situated even though I over looked the car park only staying a couple of days it was ok but would request a sea view if staying longer.The Breakfast was worth the money and the dinning area was pleasant and the bar was also ok. would recommend the Hotel to friends. "

"The hotel was old but on the whole well kept, but our room was small the window was frosted over so no view and only open a couple of inches. The bed was a very small double bed. On the plus side the staff were excellent and friendly. The food was wonderful, cooked to perfection."
