"Stayed 2 nights good hotel friendly staff (mostly) beds comfortable (pillows not so) only my opinion room very nice bit warm for me air con not cool enough again thats only me as i dont like a warm bedroom. The worst thing for me was food although good was very expensive "

"We were visiting family, the hotel itself was lovely, room was a little tired, the walls were chipped and needed new painting. I was surprised about not having an option to decline the holding fee on the debit card when we advised we would pay as we go. It was made very clear that the holding charge was an option I could not refuse. "

"As always staff and service excellent, however we had poor WiFi reception in our room this time but there was renovation works being carried out on other floors which may have effected the signal.. Cooked breakfast is always tasty and well served! Overall we enjoyed our stay and hope to return soon :)"

"I recommend the Black Horse. Very quiet and restful. The main building (pub & restaurant) is quite old and interesting with multiple levels and interior structures. The Garden Area was a delightful area for a pint and dinner, service was friendly as was the check-in. The grounds are sloped creating an inviting green impression. "Lovely property - new and refurbished rooms. Staff were nice and friendly and really loved the grounds. I love that you can go and play a game of snooker or use the table tennis/ tennis court facilities etc. Its also a very easy drive into Canterbury - approx 15 mins. Only negatives which makes it lose a star is that breakfast was poor and a gym that is seriously outdated/ small. Small attention to details missing in the refurbed rooms when you enter the property the doors are left open so...

"The staff were very caring, kind and considerate. They were breath fresh air. There were areas of the estate that could do with some work but overall, it was very good. The grounds were beautiful to hold, and the food was very good. The room was good but the beds was a little uncomfortable and the pillows flat. It would’ve been nice if there was a minibar but none of these spoiled our time there. We would come again. thank you for making our time there special."
