"The staff were very welcoming and helpful on arrival. The room was comfortable, clean and we slept very well. The spa was nice to relax in and worth paying the extra £20 per person for as you could use it all day. Breakfast was freshly cooked and they had gluten free toast ands croissants and the restaurant food was delicious with a good choice of gluten free options."

The castle is amazing but the main reason i loved this place so much is because the staff were beyond perfect. They made our stay something I will never forget. "on a steep hill. steep stairs. creaky double bed. no headboard on single bed kitchen step steep. stair rails becoming detached. bedding was clean lots of pillows and towels clean. sink about as small as you could get one. difficult to actually wash and the shower head needed attention as did the soap holder (rusty and black). carpet on entry curled up so a trip hazard. as we only slept there, it was comfortable enough but we didnt cook anything . kitchen was a bit...
