We arrived in darkness and were welcomed into a cosy bar with an open fire and comfy lounge area. The staff couldn’t have been nicer and had even offered to prepare us a meal as we wouldn’t be arriving before the kitchen closed at 9pm. Hotel was really nice we booked last minute and the views near by are amazing Gent on reception/bar/kitchen was really polite and helpful as he was there on his own because of holiday season Internet was down due to a bad storm that made the stay more remote as civilisation and home comforts were almost 1.5 hours away Don’t let that put you off when fully staffed and WiFi working I can only imagine the stay would be even better

This hotel is a shining example to others. Everything is super. The service is excellent, staff lovely, food excellent. Ambiance is relaxing. Location not bad either! Country house hotel at its best, without any of the stuffiness. As as solo traveller I felt very comfortable. I will make a point of returning. No complaints whatsoever.

Very well presented property, stunning surroundings. Communication from the owner was very poor, no response to any messages prior to my stay and I had to ring to find out which cabin I was stopping in and how to collect my keys. This was by far the most expensive accommodation I’ve booked while working in and around the whole of Scotland for the last 3 year and I would have expected the check in to be flawless for the price paid.

I’ve never stayed in such a perfect place before. The property and the room were absolutely splendid. even more beautiful than in the photos. The scenery around the place is stunning, with lochs and mountains all around. The bedding was very comfortable, and the room was beautifully decorated with great style. Booking in was very easy. There was an envelope left inside the door with my name and room number on. The room was lovely - not huge but big enough for 2 with a lovely bathroom, nice thick towels and hand soap, body wash and shampoo and conditioner in the shower cubicle. The heated towel rail was a nice touch making the bathroom nice and cosy so you weren’t coming out of the shower to a cold room ( nothing worse) There were tea and coffee facilities too with a nice biscuit on the side!
