"The room was clean and comfortable but the only let down was the AC unit didn't work but there had been a power outage during our stay so not sure if related or not. Staff very friendly and welcoming and attentive, would stay here again."

"Excellent location to view the elephants in the river at good price. Staff were very attentive, nice pool and great breakfast. 4pm checkin was a bit of a pain, but we understand the reason why. 12pm checkout means you get see the elephants the next morning."

"It is away from the hustle and bustle of the town, which was great. But there was some sort of loud music or karaoke in the evening that was unexpected and went until 11 pm. "

"Wonderful hosts. Friendly and very helpful with providing information and guidance about kandy and the surrounding area. Owner recommended the rooftop restaurant for evening dinner, stunning 14 authentic Sri Lankan dishes cooked to perfection by far the best meal we have had all trip. "A heritage property with charm. Lovely gardens, infinity pool and common areas. Staff are friendly and do all to help.
The location is elevated and a quick tuk into town or walk.
As travelling solo I booked a double room and not on the larger. Whilst they are clean and comfortable with all you need I would suggest book a larger room if you can as there was no natural light in the rooms as there were shutters that were covered. It was ok as I sat in common areas to read etc. Just a heads up....

"This hotel was absolutely fantastic. Great Staff soooo suportive they helped me carrying all my stuff. Great Breakfast (omelettes with fresh and delicious fruit, milk tea, and water), great room big, cool enough, great bathroom, and the best of all is pretty close to tooth temple and the big budha. This place is a MUST."

"If you are visiting Kandy, Queen’s Hotel should be your first choice. Everything you want is there, and in addition you stay in a hotel that has one of the most important heritage value. Easy access to town, the lake, and the temple that house the Tooth Relic makes Queen’s strategically the best location in Kandy."

Fantastic family hotel although a little away from town. Best part was the manner in which we were looked after by the very kind family. We had a superb vegetarian meal prepared home style by the family. Excellent housekeeping and the boy helper was fantastic- he went out of his way to make our stay comfortable. I would suggest that the place does NOT need a gym or swimming pool and the space with the bar etc is all wasted and that they are better off having rooms instead. Little out of town...

This place is amazing, the service was exceptional from arrival to departure, staff are very helpful and pleasant. We had Chulan who looked after us during our stay and was very attentive and helpful. This place is old charm but with modern day facilities. The food was excellent with good choices for both breakfast and dinner. I would truly recommend this bungalow if you are ever going to Kandy.

A fab hotel right in the centre of Kandy. Good clean rooms with everything you need, fridge, fan a/c. Good bathroom and comfy beds. The staff really do go out of their way and nothing is too much trouble. Food is excellent, we took the half board option and were not disappointed. Some nights a buffet others 4 course a la carte. All was excellent. Roof top bar is a nice place for a drink at the end of the day. Highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again. They could teach the...

We had a lovely stay at Hanthana House. Pathie and his staff were charming and helpful without being overbearing or pushy. They gave us good advice and helped us to plan trips. A little out of Kandy but for us that was more pleasant
