"Decided to stay at Baan Penny during a 1 day visit in Ayutthaya. Chose this hotel for its close proximity to the temples and based on previous visitor reviews. I was so glad to have stayed here! I was nicely welcomed by staff and by Gerhard (owner of the hotel). "The Phuttal Residence is located on a beautiful river/canal. We stayed in the family apartment, though there were just the two of us. The furniture and accommodations were nothing fancy, but everything was clean and orderly. The breakfast was excellent. Even though we had a kitchen, we did not cook. Please note that you will need to order a taxi to find a restaurant. It is about a 10 minute drive to center of Ayutthaya."

"We chose this hotel as it was very near all the ruins of Ayuttaya. It’s a very pretty hotel very much in keeping with the style of the area which added to our Ayuttaya experience. "If you are looking for the aunthetic Thai Village Experience, overlooking the rice padi fields and waking up to the sunrise, this is the place to be. Property is far away from the ancient ruins and if you are not driving, getting to food and ruins is a challenge "

"In Saraburi there aren't a lot of options for hotels that I can find, but this place was nice and cozy. It was better than I expected. I was able to book a fairly large room with two air conditioners for a good price. The property also is located next a relatively large shopping center, so that is convenient. The staff were also nice. I would definitely stay there again."

"Very nice rooms and spotlessly clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is a nice cafe next to the hotel which is open during the day. Great value. It’s walkable from the train station but the hotel gave me a lift. It can be quite noisy at night due to its closeness to the railway."

"When we arrived there was no one. Just 2 little barking dogs that mad the place small like a dog's place. Soi dogs (friendly) on the stairs. The landlord only talked to my wife. No registration of my passport. This is not according to the law. The room is spacious and is actually a small appartment. The breakfast was more or less ok. It could be very nice but you just don't feel welcome and I suspect that there are a lot of hotels in the neighborhood that make you feel a lot better 'at home'."
