Although the hotel was situated on a dual carriageway the rooms were quiet, clean, spacious and comfortable. We were particularly pleased to have air conditioning in the room. The staff were friendly and helpful even under such strange circumstances. The food was good with generous portions.

Clean room, very helpful staff and the food was amazing and plenty of parking..

Staff were very helpful. Hotel was clean and tidy. Great breakfast 🙂🙂

Perfect hotel, clean, comfortable, great welcome. Staff couldn't do enough. lovely breakfast

A little gem. We had a lovely room overlooking the river. Beautifully decorated, nice furnishings, comfortable bad and bedding. It's a small inn with 11 rooms so no lifts and no miles of corridors (perfect for me). We had a very good dinner in the restaurant so there was no need to walk back into the city centre. Breakfast was very good, the hot food was served so freshly cooked rather than buffet. All staff were friendly and helpful. The free, convenient parking was a bonus.

Lovely rooms, central for trains and city centre, but quiet.

Fantastic. Very quiet, very clear. Superb location

Love staying here. Lovely room with a balcony, huge bed and spotlessly clean. Staff are really nice and food is fabulous and hot. Lovely setting and so quiet. Ground floor rooms available

TotALY perfect . Lots of communication .Easy check in . Gorgeous room . Delicious Pie ( it was Friday ) and veg . Breakfast was perfectly cooked. We took a walk and lost our way which was also perfect . Cant wait to go back

A Delicious And Filling Cooked Breakfast Plus All Else To Eat Or Drink. Breakfast Was Very Good Value At £8-25. Ever Helpful Staff, Courteous And Friendly And Well Turned Out. Plenty Of Tea Bags And Sugar In The Room, Very Comfy Bed. Plenty Of Room To Park Although I Had To Pay £5 For The 1 Night That I Stayed. Check In And Out Very Pleasant.Up To 11-am To Be Out No Rushing About. I Would Stay AgainIf The Need Arose.

Lovely old, traditional hotel in a great central location (opposite Exeter Central railway station) with on-site parking. Easy walking to all amenities. Staff very helpful. Unfortunately they weren’t serving lunch but lots of choice nearby. Saw other reviews about it being ‘a bit tired’ - so glad it didn’t put me off. Will definitely be using this as my base for all future visits to Exeter.

Went down to Exeter for a graduation ceremony at the University so stayed at the hotel for one night. I would definitely recommend. Parts of the hotel are undergoing refurbishment, e.g. the restaurant - but the rooms were well kept, linen and towels all of an extremely high standard . Very clean.. Shower - really hot water - yay! A must after a long day! Great consideration also shown to guests, particularly in the warm weather by provision of an air conditioning unit in the room and...

Friendly staff couldn’t do enough for you, all areas were clean and pleasant. Breakfast was enjoyable and value for money. Evening meal again fresh and good value but a limited menu. Rooms are tired but beds are comfortable and again clean . Will stay again .

Perfect for a overnight stop on our way down to Penzance, Roof was excellent as was the bed . A little noise from the busy main road but certainly not a problem. We would definitely stay here again and also dog friendly. Perfect!
