Could only access hotel internet on their unsecured network because of proximity of airport. My own provider had no service. A bit of a challenge finding shuttle bus. But now we know, will be way easier another time. "

"It’s a cheap room and really close to the airport. Right next door to the services that have most of what you need. Excellent shower. Had an issue with the room we were given but the staff were very helpful and moved us straight away. Would definately stay there again."

"From start to finish we were made welcome at The Essex. The staff were lovely and they genuinely engaged with my little granddaughter. They went the extra mile. The room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. I liked the restaurant, you could have a full meal or lighter option and once again the staff were helpful and charming. "We had reasonably high hopes of Greyfriars and, unusually in today's Britain, they exceeded them all. Our arrival was difficult, co-inciding as it did with some cycling event that denied us car access to the hotel. This was soon emolliated by the excellent reception staff and the sheer quality of the room and guest experience. The room was stunning. Clean, stylish and with a bathroom equipped with a double shower, large bath and top-quality fittings. Comfortable bed. Top quality accessories...

"The hotel location is fantastic, walking trail is on the door step, it’s so beautiful and peaceful with full of buttercups in the meadowlands. Wonderful National Trust Houses and Gardens like Melford Hall, Lavenham Guildhall and Ickworth all in 30 minutes driving. Besides the sound proof is weak, room #8 is good size for a single occupancy, although I paid for a double room. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. "

"A fun building dating at one end around 1600 and the other 2016. The Tudor bits are wobbly and pokey as you would expect. The modern bits, modern. Helpful staff and a kitchen that poached eggs nicely for breakfast. For a budget option, this is a good stay. "

"It as a beautiful 1400 Grade 1-listed building, which was great, but I had problems with the shower. In my initial room the water was lukewarm at best. I was moved to another where the water was hot but the shower was weak. The staff were excellent and the breakfast was good. They had soya milk for my coffee."

"I took on board comments about lack of noise-proofing from other reporters Anna that is the only thing preventing a 5* review. Julie was so helpful and a star; Claire served up a top-drawer breakfast made with high quality ingredients, cooked so well by the kitchen. Lovely contemporary bar and restaurant area - it’s just a move place to be."

"A lovely place to stay. Nice rooms, nice pub and nice food. Would certainly recommend those looking in the area. I attended a wedding at Braxted Park which was a short drive away but did not get a chance to check out the area around the property hence only average stars for that. Staff are very friendly too. Will certainly choose to stay here if in the area again. "
