The hotel was an ideal place to get to Giverny easily and we enjoyed 2 full days in Giverny, including a visit to Monet's garden and house. The château de Roche Gayon was a most interesting piece of history in the Seine Valley. "

"I booked the property on the basis that it had a restaurant. This was closed on Fridays - this was not evident at time of booking. Bath panel looked like it had been made of chip board panels as did the bathroom door. "

"We arrived this hotel about 10:00 pm. There was no attending staff. We received an email one day before arrival and provided a code for entering the main entrance but the code did not work. We met one gentleman (supposedly he was the staff) and help me to retrieve the main entrance code but asked us to pay Euro 1.61. He did not explain anything. The main lobby was all dark and we could not find the switches to turn on the light."

"When we got there, the front office was closed. They have a machine to get your room information, but because I paid through hotels.com, I could not get the information. We had to wait until someone finally came out and helped us. The beds are very stiff and the pillows were flat once you put your head on them. Also, the room was warm even with the air on. Otherwise, it's not a bad hotel. The staff was kind. The room had the basic necessities and the free parking was a major plus."

The owning family and their staff were first class and looked after our group of 5 adults superbly. Nothing was too much trouble and their service was great. We ate in the restaurant on each of our 4 night stay choosing a different meal off the menu each night. Every meal was very good.
