The property is beautiful & the grounds glorious . The room was lovely, clean & very spacious with beautiful views of the grounds.
However we were only informed the night before our booking that the restaurant wasn’t open , there was no food available at all on site so we had to go driving out on a Sunday evening to find a supermarket or local restaurant. Not easy !!!
What an amazing property set in a beautiful setting, nice to be able to stroll through the beautiful landscape. Staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast very nice and plentiful. Great place to unwind from the stresses of life.
Would definitely recommend this hotel.
What a delightful hotel. The hotel is situated in extensive rural grounds that are easy to walk around and use. The hotel vegetable garden and green house was a delight to see and to know it ends up on the restaurant plates is even better. The main function rooms of the hotel are classic, beautiful and restful and we used them each day to take a complimentary tea or coffee either mid-morning or at the end of the day. You really feel like you are in a friends country home rather that a hotel and the owners were around most days to chat to. Yes, I'd love to come back.
The only downside was the Tuesday evening meal on arrival - the restaurant was closed that evening and so an alternate meal was prepared, but it really was very poor and insubstantial - I'd recommend finding somewhere else if the main restaurant is shut (as it is Monday and Tuesday).
A lovely small chateau full of charm, fresh flowers, a beautiful garden to walk in and delicious food for both dinner and breakfast. We made a mistake and came a day after our reservation and they were able to give us a room.
Gorgeous chateau near some lovely villages. The restaurant is excellent and the grounds are great too explore. Comfortable rooms and lucent areas to chill and play games.
Very nice hotel in a very quiet and beautifully landscaped area. The staff is super nice, the decor makes you feel like in a castle, from the room decoration to the lobby and the yard. I did a walk around the castle and they also have a garden, growing their own food. I wish I had a breakfast or dinner in here but I was there only for a few hours of sleep.
Thanks for the welcome.
Amazing stay at a wonderful venue. The wonderful staff made us feel like home from the moment of checking in. The castle and its surroundings are beautiful and it was a perfect start of our vaccination where we really got to slow down and just enjoy life. We travelled with our 3 year old, and he enjoyed as much as his parents, thank you to the staff who made his and our stay so special. We enjoyed the Michelin worthy restaurant all 3 nights and can’t recommend it enough.
This is a place for relaxation, enjoying nature, good food and wines. Will definitely come back.
The chateau is beautiful inside and out. It is well maintained and richly but comfortably decorated. It felt like staying at someone’s VERY nice home.
Claire was helpful and pleasant.
Boots were available after a rainy day to take a brief walk on the property.
Highly recommend.
Such a great non pretentious low key place, peaceful, quiet, and unique. Three quarters of the village work for the daily functioning of the Château. The rooms are modest and clean. Breakfast offers many food items made from the Château's own property, bread is baked daily and the rest is supplemented by local producers. Make reservations with the very own restaurant or you will need to drive a bit to any nearby cities.
What a lovely setting, about an hour outside of Paris. Although our first room had not been made up our final, changed room was large with a large bathroom and lovely views overlooking the rolling gardens and fields beyond.
The room and bathroom facilities were both good; not modern but in keeping with the lovely chateau building.
We ate at the onsite restaurants was excellent, especially as we don’t eat meat.
We had an great stay! There was an initial issue with our room, but this was dealt with quickly and efficiently and we were upgraded with no extra cost. As we stayed on a Sunday, the restaurant was closed (which we were aware of in advance), but the hotel contacted us prior to our arrival to arrange a meal for us and the children, and the food was amazing. There was lots for the children to do and see at the Chateau. The grounds and Chateau were beautiful. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Chateau and wished we could have stayed longer. We will definitely recommend it to all our friends and family.
This is an exemplary property. You will feel like you have been transported to Architectural Digest and the grounds are straight out of a fairytale. The staff is unobtrusive but always handy and helpful. My one caveat is the onsite restaurant is a bit presumptuous but did not live up to the standard. An experience but not one I would repeat
We stayed two nights and wished we’d stayed longer. A stunning chateau in amazing grounds. Quiet, peaceful and spacious. Not much in terms of obtaining drinks, there’s an honesty bar, but very little choice although they don’t mind you bringing your own. The staff are very helpful and friendly, they make this place feel as lovely as it is. The breakfast was absolutely outstanding. Mostly continental but eggs and sausage also supplied. Plenty of fruit, delicious yoghurt and home made preserves, breads, pancakes etc. what made the visit extra special was the incredible 7 course taster menu in the restaurant. Incredible dishes served by the best young front of house team you could wish for. Very impressive and they did all they could to ensure we were happy and the service impeccable. For all the above we can’t wait to visit again one day.

Liked: Cleanliness
The hotel has no lift or elevator, and we were given a room on the top floor, and we had to carry our heavy luggage up to our room 68 steps on a circular staircase 3 levels up. Our room had a sloped ceiling at one side which one had to be careful not to bump into. Although the bathroom was clean, the bathroom sink had very poor drainage, and the shower button between the overhead shower and the handheld shower did not function at all. Mattress, pillows, and bedding are nice. Buffet breakfast was good, from 7-10am...would be better if up to 10:30am because, after all, we are on holiday. Access to the property by car was through a very narrow country road where two cars can barely pass each other in both directions, which may be potentially dangerous to drive at night. The grounds of the property are bucolic and the ambiance of the lounge areas is quite cozy and rustic. Very quiet and restful. There is a fine dining restaurant at the hotel, but we were not able to dine there w/o reservation because the night we stayed, the restaurant was full, reserved by some outside group. Perhaps some consideration for its own guests to eat there would be nice. However, the hotel booked us a reservation at another restaurant in the area (about 25 minutes away by car at Gasny...a Michelin Bib Gourmand place which was only so so.). Since our stay was for one night, our primary purpose being to visit Giverny, I should give a better rating on this hotel..if only it has an elevator!
