Rooms served us perfectly whilst on a football trip to Toulouse. The hotel was a little further from the city centre than anticipated with not great transport links meaning we had to spend between €20-30 on each taxi journey. The hotel itself though was very clean if a little basic bust served our ...
It was a convenient location and the staff and the breakfast are nice. my bedroom is small and not very comfortable as well as the layout of the room. Toilet rolls is bad quality and there is no proper door closing the toilet and the room cleanliness is a bit appalling. Needs refurbishment.
We used the hotel as a quick stop on our way to Andorra. It is in walking distance of the airport, about 15 minutes. There is a McDonald's across the road which is handy. The room is small and basic but comfortable with a small shower room. I would not recommend the hotel for more than one or two ...
Toulouse is a youthful, energetic city in south-west France, with a large student population, a thriving aerospace industry and a historic central core full of beautiful old buildings, a UNESCO World Heritage-listed canal and an atmospheric Vieux Quartier (old town).
Use Expedia’s search tool to find great value one-star hotels in numerous locations on the outskirts of the city, particularly in the immediate vicinity of Toulouse-Blagnac Airport or in the north-east suburb of L’Union. Both areas are an ideal choice for those who need a pre- or post-flight stopover, or are visiting the nearby Airbus factory, and it’s also just a 20-minute bus or taxi ride to the city centre.
The majority of one-star hotels in Toulouse belong to the popular low-cost Hotel F1, Premiere Classe or ibis chains, who offer no-frills accommodation at an affordable price, often with other amenities available on an as-needed basis. Many offer free parking, which can be much harder to come by if staying nearer to the city centre.
Staying on the fringes of Toulouse offers the best of both worlds. The markets, restaurants, bars, cathedrals and pink-stone architecture of the city’s heart are within easy reach, while those with a car will be well placed to explore further afield. The Midi-Pyrénées region is home to many famous smaller cities such as Montauban, Albi, Rodez and Rocamadour, along with the glorious countryside and ancient villages of the Lot, Haute-Garonne, Tarn-et-Garonne and other Midi-Pyrénées departments.
Overall, suburban Toulouse is a sensible choice for the budget-minded traveller, whether visiting for business or leisure. Search Expedia’s range of cheap one-star places to stay to find the right combination of price and location to suit your accommodation needs.
